National standard number 22011, CAS 7440-37-1, molecular formula Ar, molecular weight 39.95, colorless odorless inert gas; steam pressure 202.64kPa (-179 C); melting point -189.2 C; boiling point -185.7 C solubility: slightly soluble in water; Density: relative density (water =1) 1.40 (-186 C); relative density (air =1) 1.38; stability: stability; danger marker 5 (non combustible gas); main application: used for bulb charging and arc welding of stainless steel, magnesium and aluminum, that is, "argon arc welding".

main Purpose:

A rare gas. Used as shielded gases for arc welding (cutting) of stainless steel, magnesium, aluminum and other alloys. It is also used in smelting of steel, aluminum, titanium and zirconium. When discharge, argon gives purple glow and is used for lighting technology and filling fluorescent lamps, photoelectric tubes, lighting tubes and so on.

In the process of wine making, the stuffing in beer can replace oxygen, so that the raw materials in beer barrel can be oxidized to acetic acid.

The heat treatment process is also used to replace nitrogen and ammonia. The effect is more than nitrogen and ammonia. When the stainless steel is heat-treated, argon is used to protect the bending effect, so it is not easy to fracture.

Storage methods:
Store in ventilating storehouse, keep away from fire and heat source; gas cylinder should be protected against collapse. The cryogenic liquid storage tank larger than 10 cubic meters can not be placed indoors. Bottled gas products are filled with gas at high pressure. They should be used after decompression and decompression. All cylinders on the packaging are of service life. All cylinders must be sent to the Department for safety inspection before they can be used. When each bottle of gas is used to exhaust gas, the remaining pressure in the bottle should be kept at 0.5MPa. The minimum pressure should not be less than 0.25MPa residual pressure. The bottle valve should be closed to ensure gas quality and safety. Bottled gas products should be stacked in transportation, storage and use. No flammable gas and combustion supporting gas should be stacked together. They must not be near the open flame and heat source. They should be kept close to fire, do not touch oil wax, do not explode the sun, do not throw heavily, do not bump.
Attention to fire protection
Fire extinguishing method: This product is non combustible. Cut off the gas source. Spray cooling container, if possible, move the container from the fire to the open.
Matters needing attention in storage and transportation
Light load and light discharge during storage and transportation should be strictly protected against damage and high temperature. Argon is not corrosive, and carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, copper alloy and other general metal materials and general plastic materials and elastic materials can be used at room temperature. Teflon and poly three fluoroethylene chloride polymers are often used as gaskets, diaphragms and so on at low temperatures.

Argon itself is nontoxic, but it has asphyxiation at high concentrations. When the concentration of argon in air is higher than 33%, that is, the concentration of oxygen is less than 2/3 below normal, there is risk of suffocation. When the concentration of argon exceeds 50%, serious symptoms appear. When the concentration is above 75%, it can die within minutes.
